India's COVID-19 epidemic is returning. The country has reported over 5,000 new infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases to 35,199. The nation of India recorded 5,880 new cases of COVID-19 and 12 additional deaths in the most recent report released by the Union Health Ministry. While four COVID deaths were reported in Himachal Pradesh and the national capital; Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, and Rajasthan each reported one death; and two of them were reconciled by Kerala.
