100-Bedded Yoga & Naturopathy Hospital Coming Up In Dibrugarh

The "Yoga Mahotsav" that was held on the campus of Dibrugarh University on World Health Day drew thousands of people, including students, yoga enthusiasts, and government officials. The Ministry of Ayush put on the event to mark 75 days until the International Day of Yoga. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal made the announcement at the event that a yoga and naturopathy hospital with 100 beds will be built in Dibrugarh.

The Yoga & Naturopathy Hospital will significantly improve the traditional healthcare system in the area and further establish Dibrugarh as the regional hub for healthcare. The Minister stated that it would be a one-of-a-kind center in the North East that would offer both outpatient and inpatient yoga and naturopathy treatments.

He also said that the Moraji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) and Dibrugarh University have signed a memorandum of understanding to create a community of yoga practitioners. Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Chief Minister of Tripura, said that yoga has a lot of benefits and that events like "Yoga Mahotsav" will help spread the word about yoga and make tomorrow better and healthier. Chowna Mein, Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, stated that yoga has made the world a healthier place.
